SÉRGIO GODINHO, ANDRÉ GODINHO AND FILIPE RAPOSO

 

Sérgio Godinho has always found space in his work for approaches to the universe of children and youth. Of this recurring interest stands out the book published at the beginning of this century, The Little Books of the Fears.

This book that Sérgio Godinho wrote and illustrated has, as the title announces, "fear" as a central theme, in a succession of narratives, united by a strong conductor. Common to all ages, children and adults included, live with fear from birth, and can be sometimes paralyzing, in other liberator, and in any case a reality that we should not, and can not ignore. For all life.

And that was the starting point for this show that, besides the introduction of some intentionally written originals, revisits several songs by Sérgio Godinho, with more or less obvious connections with the central theme.

With Sérgio Godinho, will be the pianist and composer Filipe Raposo, an instrumentalist with whom Sérgio collaborates regularly and who has in his own experience, presentations directed to the younger audience. In the supervision of the imagery of the concert, André Godinho, with whom Sérgio repeats collaboration after the Draft Final, presented at Culturgest.

A comprehensive concert in which the music of Sérgio Godinho leads us on a trip to our "fears".
