Há Fado No Cais - Isabelinha

Descrição

In Isabelinha's childhood, music was everywhere. In classical ballet, he practiced until he was 17 years old, or at home, where every day he heard jazz, blues, bossa nova, erudite music and fado. The fado occupied, from an early age, a place apart. A kind of immaterial neighborhood inhabited by the whole family: parents, grandparents, great-uncles, longtime friends. A zip code played on the guitar. A written identity card to sing. The certainty of belonging to anything. Anything bigger.
Through the voices of his mother and grandmother, always accompanied by an illustrious guitarist of the occasion, he had the first contact with the masters of fado: Fernanda Maria, João Ferreira-Rosa, Carlos Ramos, Amália, Maria Teresa de Noronha, Teresa Tarouca , Beatriz da Conceição. He was accustomed to listen to them, to learn them, to intuit them without knowing, that they would become, not only the soundtrack of his childhood and adolescence, but also the great influences in his own path for fado.
At age 18, he ventured to sing the family song. It is still in the beginning. He has been singing for 8 years at Clube de Fado, in Lisbon, and has been creating an identity from an enormous genetic and collective heritage. In this concert, he celebrates the legacy of a greater name of the fado heritage: João Ferreira-Rosa.
